Our Club The BritRail Modellers of Rochester was established in 2009 to build a British-styled model railway for the annual R. I. T. Tiger Tracks show. We're a loose-knit group of modellers, some British, who enjoy model railways and an occasional beer (hence, 'Aleston'). We stay in touch through a moderated Google Group called 'The Railway Station' and meet most Monday evenings in Webster, NY.
Our Layout Our portable layout is 12 x 16 feet and is designed in four-foot sections so that it can be taken apart for exhibition visits. We run DC and DCC engines and a variety of rolling stock. Although the basic design is meant to represent 1960s England, we often bring in a favorite engine from another era and have a casual approach to our hobby.
Photo Gallery Here are miscellaneous pictures of the layout, some old and some new.
